Trekking to Pico de Loro Pance: adventure in the Cauca Valley

1. Description

Pico de Loro Pance, is a hill of amazing landscapes, one of the most visited peaks of the Farallones de Cali National Park. The trail begins at the El Topacio Environmental Education Center, in the Pance district of the city of Cali, at an altitude of 1,700 meters above sea level, rising to 2,800 meters.

There are 3.7 km of hiking, and it is a pleasant route that offers the wonder of appreciating the high Andean forest that is preserved in an excellent state. The diversity of fauna and flora that inhabit it and the top of the peak, “Pico de Loro”, with the enormous panoramic view of the canyon of the Pance River, the great forests and the Eastern Cordillera of the park make this an extraordinary experience.

Participants will always be accompanied by local guides who interpret nature in the best way so that we can appreciate, respect and protect it.

2. What to bring?

Sunscreen (eco-friendly) during the tour.
Water for hydration (no single-use plastic, preferably thermos).
Appropriate footwear for walking.
Cap or hat.
Swimsuit.
Change of clothes.
Waterproof in case of rain.
Eco-friendly insect repellent.
Report allergies or medical conditions.
Report any discomfort during the expedition.

3. Important notes

The forms of payment will be agreed with the initial deposit and in accordance with the adhesion contract (Form 068).
Comply with the biosecurity protocols determined by each of the suppliers; any non-compliance may result in different sanctions applicable to each tourist.
The minimum number of people for this program is twelve (12 PAX).
The agency is not responsible for unforeseen events that may occur due to natural disasters, public disturbances, etc., which may force a change in the program.
If for any reason you are unable to travel (even if it is due to force majeure) you must sell or transfer your space to another person and assume penalties if applicable because there is no refund, since the agency must pay for the services in advance.
